During the Spring of this year, the National Arts and Letters Commission announced its Delta Authors Directory, a list of books written by Delta authors. One of the purposes of this directory is to celebrate the art of writing and the joy of reading. It was suggested that chapters celebrate this accomplishment by hosting an Authors Spotlight. Our Arts and Letters committee decided that our Authors Spotlight would be through a Book Club.

The Atlanta Alumnae DST Book Club had its first gathering on Sunday, August 16, 2020. This initiative is led by our Arts and Letters Committee in collaboration with our Membership Services and Technology committees. Our first book was Finding Home Again by Soror Brenda Jackson. Soror Jackson joined approximately 50 sorors, via Zoom, for a lively discussion.

Our next book discussion will be on Sunday, October 18^th.  Stay tune for the title of our next book.
